About Us

We are a friendly club based around Swadlincote that welcomes players 16 and over of all abilities. We love playing netball and pride ourselves in developing a club that is friendly, competitive and gives members great enjoyment.

Swadlincote Netball Club developed from the Back to Netball training held at Greenbank Leisure Centre in Mid 2013. In the spring of 2014 our first team, Swadlincote Swifts, was born. We competed in the NWLeicestershire league for 2 years, as the club grew we added another team, Swadlincote Starlings in 2016. Membership of Swadlincote Netball Club still continues to grow and a third team was established for 2020, Swadlincote Sparrows.

We also play in the Burton and District League as Tornadoes, Hurricanes and Storm.

Training

Training takes place on Wednesday. During winter we train inside at The Pingle Academy 7pm-9pm. In Summer we train outside at The Granville Academy 7:30pm-9pm.

We welcome new and returning players, so get in touch if you want to come down.
